Summary0001014: [ReitzKHRT]: Incorrect (stripped) parcel mass
DescriptionThe stripped parcel mass 'ms' becomes negative for some parcels, something I believe should never happen.
Also, the stripped parcel mass may reach values magnitudes higher than the parent parcel mass (e.g. ms=1e-8 vs. m=1e-12).

I believe there is going something wrong with the particle vs. parcel mass and the update of mass0 (done for the child droplets in SprayParcel.C).
Steps To ReproduceThe issue can be observed when CRT is set to higher values (e.g. CRT=5.33 as used by Su (1996) or Patterson (1998)).

I just remembered that I reported this some time ago when I reported bug #1295.

Just to note, the stripped parcel mass calculation in the ReitzKHRT model is still wrong in my opinion, also with the suggested changes in my recent bug reports.

Can you provide a patch to OpenFOAM-dev to resolve this problem?

Please reopen this report if you can provide a patch or at least a test-case which reproduces the problem.
