Steps To Reproduce | You cant miss this, just restart, i am just curious how this could pass your previous fix on the same matter.
Additional Information | There is one fix on the forum: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/openfoam-solving/129234-pimpledymfoam-when-restarting-case-large-spike-forces.html I cannot do this since I am using HPCC with fix release, so I simply use this report and hopes for the best, a fix so I can ask the administration for an update of the library.

If I use pimpleDyMFoam without meshPhi, ie as normal pimpleFoam, then restart work, it is when meshPhi is present things goes wrong, i found this fix solution at the forum and i checked in the bug report that this havent been reported, so I kindly ask you ignore my input and directly go to the post i pasted in the report. I would like to have an assurance that the code works as intended, since in my calculations, all restarts fails, and I dont have a clue. |
|
I changed the DdtScheme from backward to Euler, then restart seems to works with meshPhi. |
|
I do not see any issue with restarting the pimpleDyMFoam/propeller case with either Euler or backward differencing in OpenFOAM-2.3.x or OpenFOAM-2.3.1. If you can reproduce the problem with either OpenFOAM-2.3.x or OpenFOAM-2.3.1 please provide the case and details of how to run it and the results for comparison. |
