Summary | 0001785: Particle in LPT solver dissapear after they got accelerated in MRF
Description | Solver: simpleReactingParcelFoam with MRF I am simulating a particle flow through a dynamic geometry (fan blade in MRF). Small particles (1x10⁻6 m) disappear after they got accelerated due to the rotating motion of my geometry. The particles get through my geometry when I enable the rotating option (fvOption) or when I increase the diameter to 1x10⁻3 m (with rotating). As forces I am using sphereDrag and gravity. Is this an OpenFoam bug that the small particles disappear or is something missing in my setup?
Additional Information | I had the same problems with previous versions (2.3.0 and 2.3.1).

The particle velocity before they disappear is around 250 m/s and the particle diameter is 1e-06 1-e5 |

No further feedback, possibly resolved by new barycentric tracking: https://cfd.direct/openfoam/free-software/barycentric-tracking/ |
