Summary | 0000078: Flowfield disturbance due to MRF zone
Description | Flowfield disturbances develop when using an empty MRF zone in a test set-up with uniform freestream conditions. The MRF zone is a cylinder with the axis pointing in Z-direction. The freestream velocity is in X-direction. My expectation was that, as the MRF zone is empty, the flowfield would be unaffected by it. Clearly this is not the case, see screenshots of resulting flowfield in attached emptyCylinder.tar.gz OF 1.7.x is used, updated today. The mesh consists of tetrahedra only, created using ANSA.
Steps To Reproduce | Create mesh with similar geometry as shown in geometry.png (included in emptyCylinder.tar.gz) and use attached set-up files. Run using MRFSimpleFoam.
