| Description | Upon newly updating the OS and following the OpenFOAM installation guide on this website, I was able to run the simple icoFoam tutorial. blockMesh and solver, however, paraView didn't show anything. (It opened and had all the fields available but didn't show anything) I reset the computer and now blockMesh and the Solvers won't run. an Error of... Inconsistency detected by ld.so: dl-version.c: 224: _dl_check_map_versions: Assertion `needed != ((void *)0)' failed! appears I'm not that computer savy to know what to do with this error. Any help would be great thanks | ||||

ok I did some googling and found a fix here http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/openfoam-installation/136477-inconsistency-detected-ld-so-2-3-0-ubuntu-14-04-a.html However, ParaFoam still doesn't show anything. I'll keep looking into that |

OK, this is embarrassing... everything works fine, The eyeball wasn't selected on paraFoam startup. It all works fine now. I'll restart my computer try all this again and if it works I'll check this as solved ^_^ |

Oddly enough, after restarting, the first "Inconsistency detected" problem occurred. I've proved I can work around it however I'd prefer not to. Sadly this post is still up. |

@Erik-L: A few questions: 1. You upgraded from which Ubuntu version to 14.04? 2. What installation instructions did you follow? 3. Have you solved this issue? 4. If you built from source code, did you rebuild both OpenFOAM and ParaView? |
