| Description | While checking the dynamic mesh solvers I found out that the stored momentum (rhoU) is not used in the program anymore. I am not sure if the calculation of rhoUf should be done with rhoU field (old one) or with the new velocity field after the pressure correction. The latter one is used in the current and older versions. I think its not a bug, more like some old line or a new feature that is not implemented well. | ||||

rhoU is needed to set rhoUf for introduced faces as stated in the comment. Why do you believe this is no longer necessary? |

Dear Henry, the reason of that is, that I can not find any line where this rhoU variable is used. Although if I uncomment it, I get no error and the simulation ran without problems. rhoUf is calculated in within the "createRhoUf.H" at the beginning and later on its updated in the pressure equation. I can not figure out where rhoU is needed. Additionally I checked with grep to find rhoU or something similar but did not find anything. Kind regards |

Have you run cases in which faces are introduced and you specify the mechanism by which the rhoUf values at the new faces are generated by interpolating rhoU? |

No I did not ran cases in which faces are introduced during run time. Now its clear. Thank you. |
