Summary | 0000529: Surface sampling output
Description | Hi Please see this link for the system used. https://www.sharcnet.ca/my/systems/show/41 [^] I am doing simulation of flow over 3D airfoil. I need to record the surface pressure on the airfoil for every timestep. When I use the sample utility, "foamFile" output gives me all the information I needed to recreate the mesh for acoustic calculation, but generates large amount of unused files (since faceCentres, faces and points are the same for every timestep). Is it possible to include an option to write the mesh info for the first timestep only and only the scalarField output for subsequent timesteps? I have also tried using "raw" output for subsequent timesteps but the output is in a different order from "foamFile" output. Thank you very much for your time. Best Regards, Tom
